How to Send Campaigns with the Sales Email Template

Step 1: Open Campaigns

Open your Bumpa app, go to Sales and Marketing, then tap Campaigns.

Step 2: Create a Campaign

Tap Create Campaign, then select Email Campaign.

Step 3: Choose the Sales Template

Step 4: Choose Your Audience

Now choose who you want to send your email to. You can select:

  • All customers

  • Selected customers

  • Customer groups

Customer groups are automatically created based on customer behavior, like recent purchases or inactive customers. You can also create your own if you want more control.

Step 5: Add Campaign Details

This is where you set the foundation for your email.

Start with your campaign name. This is just for you, so you can easily identify your campaigns later. Keep it simple and do not overthink it.

Now the most important part: your subject line

This is the first thing your customers see in their inbox, and it plays a big role in whether they open your email or ignore it. It directly affects your results, so it is something you should pay close attention to and not rush. 

Step 6: Customize Your Email Sending the right email matters, and knowing the best practices to apply when customizing your email is very important. Customizing your email with the sales template is very easy, but here are a few key points to note. 

You will see a live preview organized into sections:

  • Header

Here you input the focal point of the email. (e.g., Black Friday sales, new arrival alerts, etc.) The point you want to call attention to. This is optional. 

  • Email body

This is where most of the content of the email or the information you want to pass lies. 

  • Product Sections

This is where you select products on your Bumpa website that you want to highlight in the email. You can choose not to add any product here or add up to 3.

  1. Use subject lines that make them want to read: 

The average person gets multiple emails daily. What you want to do is to make your subject enticing or interesting to make your customers want to open your mail.

You can always experiment with different subject lines and see the ones that convert better. 

2. Time Your Emails Around Real Moments:

You want to target times that people are free to read their emails or when they have spending power if your goal is sales.

Match your offer to that moment, and the email feels timely, not random.

  • Early mornings to get first attention on a new day. 

  • End of month: Salary week

If you are in Nigeria, we automatically set your delivery time in your timezone. However, you can choose the different time zones you want your campaigns to deliver to.  

  • Why is the email builder rejecting the image I added to the Image section? 

You may be adding the wrong image size or dimension. The recommended dimension for the image section is 1200 x 400 pixels and not more than 5mb. If your image or flyer isn't this exact dimension, you can add your image inside the email body. 

  • How can I add the name of each customer to the email? 

Paste this variable {{customer_name}} anywhere in the email, and it will display the customer's name in their inbox. 

  • Can I track how my email campaigns are performing?
