Bumpa Product Updates: What’s New This Month for Your Business (October 2025)

While everyone is gearing up for the holiday hustle and bustle, we have spent the past month speeding things up for your business based on your feedback, fixing the little things that slow you down, building features we know will make your business operations smoother, and shipping features we truly believe you will love. This is our first official product update, and honestly, it feels special.
Not because of the features alone, but because it’s a chance to talk to you directly, the business owners who wake up early, keep the lights on, and give life to the marketplace every single day. You’re the heart of Bumpa.
So think of this as a quick check-in from our team. Here’s what we built this month, why it matters for your business, and how it makes running your store just a little easier.

1. Communication Just Got Stronger
Talking to your customers often feels like a full-time job. So this month, we focused on creating features that will help you send the right message at the right time, without the need for extra apps or jumping through hoops.
1.1 SMS Is Live (And Now Even Better)
SMS is officially back and stronger than before. You can now send bulk SMS directly from the web app, which means you can reach a large group of customers in a few clicks. Each SMS costs 8 messaging credits, plus this works great for quick updates, flash sales, delivery alerts, or “your order is ready” messages.
It’s fast. It’s direct. And it helps you stay top of mind, especially with customers who aren’t always checking their email or social media.
1.2 Email Campaigns Are Live
You can now send email campaigns from both web and mobile, and we’ve made them smarter and safer to use:
No accidental spam: If a customer unsubscribes, Bumpa automatically removes them from future email sends.
Auto “Unsubscribers” group: These customers are grouped for you, so you can still reach them with SMS campaigns instead.
Replies go to you: Any customer who responds to your email now replies directly to your email address.
Faster search: Looking for customers is now quicker. Just type a name or email, and Bumpa brings them up immediately.
Email campaigns are now easier to manage, more reliable, and give you more control, so you can focus on the message and let Bumpa handle the rest.
1.3 Customizable Welcome Emails (Welcome emails on autopilot)
When someone joins your list, you want to greet them properly. Now, if you add a customer manually, or someone subscribes to your newsletter, Bumpa automatically sends them a welcome email.
This email:
Lets them know they’ve been added to your mailing list
Gives them the option to unsubscribe if they prefer
Includes a link to your website so they can explore or shop
And best of all, it’s fully customizable on Pro, Growth, Scale, and Premium plans

2. Smarter Subscriptions & Billing (The Boring-But-Important Stuff)
We made a few updates to help you manage your Bumpa subscription in a clearer, more flexible way.
2.1 Apple Subscription Update
If you subscribe through the iOS app, you might notice that the price is slightly higher, and this is because of Apple’s extra charges.
The good news is that Apple users can now pay easily with Apple Pay or any card already saved to their Apple account, which makes it very convenient.
If you prefer a cheaper option, you can always subscribe through the Bumpa web app instead. Same benefits, but at a much lower cost.
2.2 Subscription Upgrade Change
If you upgrade your plan, you’ll now pay the full subscription amount, and Bumpa will automatically extend your subscription cycle by the extra days you deserve.
3. Collect Payments in More Ways, Pay Less in Fees
We know how important low fees and reliable payments are for your business. So this month, we focused on giving you cheaper, more flexible ways to get paid on your website. This means that there are now multiple ways to collect payments from your customers, whether online or manually, and we've added even more options this October.
3.1 Fincra Is Live
You can now accept bank transfers on your website through Fincra, and it comes at one of the lowest rates you'll find anywhere, with a charge capped at 0.5% per transaction.
It’s cheaper because we’re always negotiating for the best deals on your behalf.
Lower fees on your transactions = more profit staying in your business.
3.2 Transaction Fee Promo
To make it even sweeter… For November and December, we’re running a promo to help you save even more on website payments.
The updated fees during the promo period are:
Paystack: 1.2% (previously 1.5%)
Nomba: 1.2% (previously 1.3%)
Pocket: 0.5% (previously 1.8%)
Fincra: 0.3% (previously 0.5%)
This means every order puts a little more money in your pocket, especially during the holiday rush when sales move fast. Translation? More profit per order during the busiest selling season of the year. You're welcome.💚
3.3 Bumpa Wallet is Live, with Instant Settlement Available
Bumpa Wallet + Instant Settlement changes how you access your money. Instead of waiting 24 hours for funds to hit your bank account, you get instant access the moment a customer pays.
Also:
Withdraw to your bank for just ₦50 anytime you need it, or keep funds in your wallet to earn up to 8% interest per year.

5. Better Delivery Options
Selling is one thing, but getting orders to your customers quickly and accurately is another. To help you deliver with less stress, we’ve partnered with two amazing delivery services to make fulfilment smoother for you and clearer for your customers.
5.1 Bumpa x Shipbubble
With our Shipbubble integration, your customers can now see accurate delivery prices at checkout based on the actual weight of what they’re buying.
If you’re on a paid plan, you can opt in, add your product weights, set your pickup address, and you’re good to go. Your customers can also see the exact delivery fee upfront, and you fulfil orders with fewer mistakes and fewer abandoned carts.

5.2 Bumpa x Chowdeck
Chowdeck integration now gives your customers a fast, reliable delivery option, especially for same-day and city-wide dispatch.
It’s one more way to offer your buyers speed and convenience and make selling on Bumpa even smoother for you.

6. Smarter Automation & Store Management
Better store management and smarter automation to take the work off your hands can be the difference between making more sales and letting potential customers walk out the door. Here are some updates that could help you multiply your sales:
6.1 Automated Abandoned Order Reminders
Customers start to check out and forget to pay all the time. Now, Bumpa helps you bring them back automatically with an automated email and SMS reminder message sent to your customer.
You can customise the message (email subject/body or SMS text), and each reminder uses your messaging credits, so you don’t have to pay extra for this.
This amazing feature is available on pro plans and above.
It’s a simple way to recover sales you would have otherwise lost.
6.2 Product Filters
Scrolling through pages of products is stressful for customers. Product Filters make it easier for them to quickly find what they want.
Let your customers filter through product variations like size, colour, price, style or shade; all based on the options you already set.
You can also hide out-of-stock products automatically and exclude them from the list.
6.3 Daily Report
Every morning, you can now get a clear summary of what happened in your store the day before.
You’ll see:
Total sales (with and without shipping)
Number of products sold
Which products were sold and their quantities
You’ll also get a daily reminder to check your report, and amazingly, this is available on all Bumpa plans
We also fixed reporting mismatches and improved how gross and net profit are displayed, so your numbers are now more accurate across the dashboard, analytics, and email.
Daily Reports make it easier to track your business at a glance, even on your busiest days.
