Happy International Women's Day! And, drumroll, please!

Bumpa’s Top 100 Women in Business and E-commerce list is back!

Can you tell that this is one of our favorite things to publish, like ever?!

Last year, we started the tradition of not just celebrating women every International Women’s Day (IWD), but also celebrating Women in Business and E-commerce.

According to BusinessDay Nigeria, female entrepreneurs in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) command a formidable 50% of Nigeria’s GDP, impacting employment generation. Close to 23 million women run micro-businesses.

Bringing it closer to home, here’s an interesting fact. About 90% of Bumpa merchants are women.

But ironically, these interesting statistics and what these women are doing are still not being acknowledged enough. They have not only achieved success in business and entrepreneurship but have also paved the way for other women, inspiring them to face obstacles with courage and determination. And the wonders they've done for the economy should never be overlooked.

They should be celebrated every day. And twice, every day.
