Note: Invoices are for unpaid or partially paid orders, while receipts are for paid orders, and you can bulk-download your shipping slips, invoices and receipts. Also if you have a Bumpa Terminal account, your invoice will carry the account number.
What’s New with Invoices - Custom Notes
Adding a personal touch to your business just got easier with our new custom notes feature. Now, every invoice can carry your unique message, special instructions, or important reminders right where your customers can see them.
The new notes section lets you do more than just list items and prices. You can add specific handling instructions for delicate products, write a warm thank-you message, or include important details about warranties or return policies. Want to remind customers about your upcoming sale? Need to explain special care instructions for a product? The custom notes section is your space to communicate these important details.
Building stronger relationships with customers is all about clear communication, and that's exactly what this feature delivers. When customers receive an invoice with a personalised note thanking them for their third purchase or specific instructions for assembling their new furniture, it shows them you care about their experience beyond just the sale.
How to Use this Feature
Creating custom notes for your invoice is straightforward, and you can create unlimited custom notes!
To do this on the web app:
Login to your web app and navigate to Orders.
At the top right corner of the screen, click on Invoice Note.
Now you can view all your notes. To add a new note, click on the Add Note button.
Fill in the details of your note i.e. your title and content. You can also use the edit buttons to edit as you see fit.
Click on Save, or Save and Activate to immediately activate the new note.
Note: you can activate any of your notes by toggling it on in your notes list. You can also delete any of them at any time.
To do this on the mobile app:
Open your app and on the menu tray at the bottom of the screen, select Orders.
At the top right corner of the screen, select the icon beside the + icon.
Now you can view all your notes. To add a new note click on the + button at the top right corner of the screen.
Fill in the details of your note i.e. your title and content. You can also use the edit buttons to edit as you see fit.
Click on Save, or Save and Activate to immediately activate the new note.
What’s New with Shipping Slips - Scan to View Details
Shipping your products just got smarter and safer.
The new shipping slip design focuses on what matters most - getting your products to customers while keeping order details private.
We noticed a common problem: business owners put full invoices on packages, showing sensitive information like payment details and prices. That's why we redesigned our shipping slips from the ground up. Now, you get a clean, simple document that shows only the essential shipping information.
What makes the new shipping slips special? First, order details are hidden and can only be seen when the barcode is scanned.
Then, the details of the order are displayed.
This means the content of packages stays private as they move from place to place. The slip automatically pulls information from your invoice, so you don't need to write anything twice. Plus, each shipping slip has its tracking number that links directly to the order in your Bumpa account.
How to Use this Feature
Creating a shipping slip is simple. When you make an invoice for an out-of-store order, just click "Download Shipping Slip." The system automatically creates a professional shipping document with only the necessary details showing. No more worrying about sensitive information being visible on packages or dealing with multiple documents.
This upgrade means better security for your customers, less work for you, and smoother deliveries for everyone. It's the same simple Bumpa experience you're used to, just smarter and more secure.
