Hi Hi Hi! Welcome! Come in!

You’re ready to get alerts from your website abi? Great! I’m ready to show you the way.

But before we get there, I want to share the benefits of website sales you might not know about:

PS: If you want to skip these and go straight to the sales tips, here’s a breakdown of the entire article so you can skip to the part you want.

Benefits of Using Your Website for Sales.

These are some of the reasons top Bumpreneurs prefer receiving website sales:

  1. Reduces DM time: Customers buying on the website means they don't need to enter your DM to chat before purchasing or waste time pricing your products. It's an ultimate time saver.

  2. Fastest business managing tool: Every website purchase automatically records the sale on your app, reduces your inventory (stock), creates that customer's profile, and sends an order confirmation email. It does all that without you lifting a finger.

  3. It's a sales magnet: For every uncompleted purchase (abandoned cart) on your website, the customer gets automated email reminders telling them to complete their purchase.

  4. Multiple Payment Options: Have customers ever complained about their bank or your bank and said the payment is not going through? Or have you ever received a fake alert before? Your website provides more than 5 ways customers can pay you: through Paystack: Card, Transfer, QR code, etc & your personal bank account if you're on a subscription plan.

  5. Clearance Sales secret: However you've run your sales before either through your IG stories or posting by midnight on your WhatsApp status, you're doing it the hard way. The easiest way to run any kind of sale is your website. You can create discounts and coupons, set a time the sale will end, and all discounts with expire.

  6. Customer review feature: Customers that buy from your website can go back to drop a review of the product on your website, which then encourages more customers to purchase the reviewed product.

  7. Settle shipping at the point of sale: You can set your shipping fees to as many locations as you wish on your website. Once selected, your customer can pay for both the product and the shipping fee at once.

How Website Sales & Payment Work.

  • There are 2 payment methods on your website: Your personal bank account (if you are on a subscription plan) & Paystack: an online payments service provider that allows card payment, transfers, QR codes, etc.

  • Paystack confirms payment in 30 seconds to 1 minute, with zero downtime. It also notifies you immediately of payment.

  • Paystack charges 1.5% on website sales.

  • Payment is processed through Bumpa as a Paystack partner & the amount is remitted to your personal bank account in less than 24 hours.

Top Tips on Making Website Sales.

The aim here is to get you to make your 1st online sale and these are the top tricks shared by high-performing Bumpreneurs in getting more customers to use your website.

  • Use Share Order: Whenever a customer enters your DM to buy something, immediately record the order as unpaid and share the order with the customer. This will take them to the website, where they’ll see the order detail and make payment immediately.

  • Offer cheaper prices: This tactic is a customer favorite. Whenever customers enter your DM, tell them what they want to buy is available but N500, N1000, or any amount cheaper on your website. This will make more of them use your website. You can also add this detail to all your social media captions, product flyers, and posts.

  • Offer them a gift: You can create a gift policy where all website orders in a period of time get free stuff like scrunchies, lipgloss, dishwashing liquid, etc. You can also spin it that, every customer gets a 20% discount off their next purchase if they buy anything more than 20k/50k or they get the discount after their 3rd purchase on the website. Whatever gifting policy you choose, make sure you communicate it. Eg: Update your store banner with this information, put it on all your social media posts, etc.

  • Overshare your product & website link: Just the same way you should exploit the Share Order feature, you should always share your website link and product link. If someone asks for a product, share the link. For every design you create for social media and any content you post, add your website link.

  • Sell to family and friends first: Send a message: could be a WhatsApp BC, to your friends and family and beg them to patronize you on your website. Also, ask them to share a flyer/design that contains your website link on their status and other social media platforms.

  • Offer discounts:  This rarely fails. Offer discounts that only count on your website. It could be as low as 10% or as attractive as 40%. The most important thing is to inform your customers through BCs, social media posts, or designs that you're offering mouth-watering discounts on your website.

  • Run ads: I know you’ve heard that ads are complex. But you can start by making a post with multiple product images & push it with a simple boost or do a more advanced ad.

I am sure without a doubt that these tips will help you make your very first sale and who knows maybe more than 1.

How to Check if Your Website is Sales-Ready

Want to be sure that your website is ready for website sales? Check this list and ensure you have everything ticked off.

Who knows, you might find something you missed that will help on your sales journey.

1. Complete your store setup: This includes everything under Store Information: your Logo, Tagline. Add all those details!

2. Add Shipping to your store: Add the Shipping price & details to all the locations you deliver to, on your website, so that customers can be sure they'll get their items. You can even add a Pick Up at Store option and set it as Free. Anything you want really.

3. Customize your store: Use the Customize Storefront feature on your Bumpa app to Add a banner on your website, add your Return Policy and Product Listing: that is if you want your Cheapest products first or best-selling Products first/Recent Products to appear first on your website.

4. Add More Products: If you have only 1 or 4 products, I would advise that you have at least 10 products on your website. A scanty website doesn't encourage sales.

5. Add clean images: Blurry product images discourage customers from purchasing on your website or trusting your business. Always upload clear and nice-looking images of your products on your website.

6. Create Collections: This makes shopping easier for your customers. Collections are product categories. For example, if you are a fashion brand, you should have a Bag, Heels, Dresses, Skirts etc collection on your website.

7. Add detailed descriptions to your Products: Product Descriptions give your business free SEO. Write detailed descriptions and they can make it easy to find your business on Google and convince customers to buy the product.

For example, instead of writing 'Brown Chanel bag" in your long description, write "Original Chanel, leather bag. Quality bag for the office, corporate events, and occasions. Comes in Brown and Black. It's a handbag with many compartments, durable zippers, and comes with a free purse."

Thats all! You should be all good.

Everything you need to do under this section is found in the More section of the Bumpa app.

For extra tools to get your website sales-ready eg: If you want to change the color of your website, change the template, add your personal bank details to your website checkout, or add more than 25 products, these are all available on a Bumpa subscription plan and you can choose one here.

Bye and have fun trying out these ideas!
