Bumpa Updates: Latest Bumpa Updates in October, 2023.
Hello there,
Constantly as a team, we are always trying to improve the Bumpa experience for you as a business owner.
We do this by taking the feedback you share with us on [email protected] and the complaints you share through [email protected], prioritizing the ones we can, and pushing updates we know will make business life easier for you.
So, in the past month, we have been building and fixing a lot and we’re still doing that.
This article is to give a detailed report of all the fixes and builds we’ve done on both the Bumpa mobile app and web app in the past week.
It’s to give you an idea of the things newly fixed and newly available. So, if there’s a feature or bug you would like to share or report, we’d be happy to look into it for you through [email protected] or [email protected].
Now, we move on to the breakdown of our latest updates.
Subscription Changes.
We have slightly changed how subscription works on the app.
From November 1st, we will be taking off the 1-month option from all our subscription plans.
Subscription plan options will now start from 3 months (quarterly billing) and above.
The reasons for this are pretty simple and you can be sure it’s to serve your best interest and well, also in our best interest too.
More Affordable: In a space, where everyone, even us are struggling with the rising inflation, we have found out that bulk purchases are more affordable for businesses. You can save as much as 10,000 naira in a year when you bulk buy any subscription plan.
Full Value Experience: Based on data available to us, the full value of a Bumpa subscription plan is often enjoyed after the one-month mark. We want to ensure that you enjoy the full benefits of a Bumpa subscription, so you can make a better-informed decision when you decide to renew, cancel, or upgrade your subscription.
Business Efficiency: Business owners are busy people who can easily forget things every now and then and trust me, we understand that. We have discovered that many business owners on the one-month plan miss their subscription renewal and somehow also miss the reminders we send to them during the Grace Period.
This causes issues and discomfort for both the subscriber and us because our systems will automatically turn your account into the Bumpa Basic version and this can come as a shock when they discover they only have 25 products showing on their website during a sale, their staff no longer have access to their Bumpa account or their website link has reverted to a .bumpa.shop link.
Like Falz will say, to avoid stories that touch, we’ve taken off one-month plans.
What does this mean for me if I’m on a Subscription Plan?
Your subscription is still valid till its normal expiration date.
You will not be able to purchase a one-month subscription plan from November 1st, only 3 months and above.
If you are currently on a one-month subscription, your next billing period will be for a 3 months subscription plan. If you would not like to be charged for 3 months, you can cancel your subscription on the app.
Instagram Connection
We have redesigned your Meta connection page, now its a lot easier to connect to Instagram.
We've also added little tutorials to help you get through any setup hurdle you might have.
Bumpa WebApp
We released the redesigned Bumpa web app recently and it comes with exciting new features like bulk product upload, Orders and Products CSV download, business inventory valuation, extra analytics on Products, Messaging, Customers, Products, etc.
You can also get access to the contact details of website visitors who sign up for your newsletter and connect a Facebook Pixel to your website amongst other things.
Bulk Actions: Bulk delete products, bulk share product links, bulk publish, and unpublish products don't have any glitches anymore and are working
seamlessly.
Email and SMS Campaigns
We have fixed a couple of things around sending campaigns and communicating with your customers.
Messaging Analytics: We have fixed Messaging analytics. Now you can click on Messages and view what time it was sent and who received it.
Sending Campaigns: Additionally, we have fixed the deliverability of campaigns asides errors made when entering email addresses or incomplete phone numbers.
Messaging Credits: Purchasing messaging credits is now easier on the app. Please note that we still have the standard 300 free messaging credits that come with the Starter subscription and 1000 messaging credits that come with Pro subscription.
Product Updates
Product Search: On Products, we have fixed the issues with long discovery time when searching for certain products. Additionally, the problem observed by some stores where some product images don't show on the website has been fixed.
Product Variations: In an exciting turn of events, we have optimized what you once knew as Product Variations. Variations are now called called Product Options but they work the same way you’ve always known.
Product Edits: We’ve optimized the way Product Edits work. Now you can increase the stock level of a Product in general or increase the number of products in a specific Product Option (variation)
Product Deletion: The issue around bulk deleting Products has been fixed. You can now delete multiple products in one click without stress.
Product Links: We have fixed bulk-sharing Product links permanently
Order Updates
Bulk Order Action: You can now click on Select on the Orders page and change the Shipping status of many orders at once or delete many orders at once.
Order Edits: The 3 dots beside each order is a shortcut to either Edit the order, Share Order, Send Receipt or Delete Order.
Partially Paid Orders: Partially paid orders to check for more than the balance required.
Website Updates
Banner: We’ve made the banner smaller so it takes a shorter time for customers to scroll and see your products especially if they shop with a mobile phone.
Notes on Orders: We can assure you now that all Notes attached to orders will show on the Order Detail.
Shipping: We’ve also fixed errors around Shipping details on websites & how they display on your Order Page.
